PURPOSE: A gas lighter is provided to prevent the easy extinguishing of flames by uniformly distributing flames on a knitted metal fiber mat. CONSTITUTION: A flame hole portion(2) comprises an exhaust pipe(22) and a knitted metal fiber mat(23). The exhaust pipe emits gas by connecting with a main body(1) through a gas pipe(21). The knitted metal fiber mat closes the upper opening of the flame hole to generate emitted gas. The flames are distributed on the knitted metal fiber mat to prevent the easy extinguishing of flames. Thereby, a gas lighter maintains the stable flames continuously. Moreover, the sudden diffusion of the flames is prevented by uniformly raising the gas through flame holes on the knitted metal fiber mat.
