/ CORBA/IIOP based LBS system using SOAP based gateway and method thereof

PURPOSE: A CORBA/IIOP based LBS system and an LBS information service method are provided to automatically convert protocols in accordance with the protocol used by a content provider. CONSTITUTION: A CORBA/IIOP based LBS system comprises a service request server(user computer)(10) having an LBS simulator and an SOAP based client library; a SOAP based gateway server; and service providers(70,90) for performing a CORBA protocol service, and which are connected to the SOAP based gateway server through a communication network(20). The SOAP based gateway server includes an SOAP gateway listener(30) for receiving service requests from an external source; a service repository controller(40) for searching the registered service and information; a service adapter pool(50) having an object for a wide variety of protocols; a service protocol descriptor(60) including IPs and port information; a connection pool manager(70) for managing connection to protocol services; and object mappers(80,81,82,83) for protocols.
