Reinforcing appratus installed in inside extended region of prestressed concrete box of prestressed concrete box bridge and reinforcing method using the apparatus

PURPOSE: A reinforcing device mounted on an inner extension unit of a PC(Precast) box of a PC box bridge and a reinforcing method thereof are provided to increase the strength of the bridge, expand the durable period of the bridge, and reduce manpower and maintaining/repairing cost by mounting the reinforcing device on the inner extension unit of the PC box which is the weakest point of the PC box bridge. CONSTITUTION: A method for reinforcing a PC(Precast) box bridge by mounting a reinforcing device to reinforce an inner extension unit(12) of a PC box formed by connecting PC box girders of the PC box bridge to each other is composed of steps for sealing a joint(15) of the inner extension unit of the PC box and then mounting a vertical H-beam(50) under the joint in the longitudinal direction of the bridge; installing a plurality of vertical H-beam tensioning brackets(51) in a vertical H-beam lower flanges, mounting and tensioning steel strands(16), and then fixing the steel strands by a fixing tool(17); disposing a horizontal H-beam(40) on supporting bars(41) installed in both sides of inner walls(21) of the PC box under the vertical H-beams at regular intervals in the transverse direction of the PC box bridge; and mounting horizontal H-beam tensioning brackets(42) under the horizontal H-beam, mounting and tensioning the steel strands, and then fixing the steel strands by the fixing tool.
