PURPOSE: A functional sanitary napkin is provided to adsorb the offensive odor, to sterilize the bacteria and to prevent vaginal inflammation and uterine cancer by using the natural materials instead of the chemical materials. CONSTITUTION: The functional sanitary napkin is manufactured by the steps of: obtaining 1st material by grinding natural mineral such as loess, zeolite, illite, jade, elvan firstly in 10 mm size, firing at 650 to 950 deg.C and secondly grinding into a polymer of 800 to 1000 meshes; obtaining 2nd material by boiling gingko tree leaves, pine needles, mugwort and green tea leaves in 30wt.% of salty water at 80 deg.C, drying naturally and forcibly, and grinding into a polymer of 800 to 1000 meshes; obtaining 3rd material by dissolving polymeric chitosan extracts from oyster shell, crab and shrimp in a citric acid aqueous solution; and obtaining 4th material by dissolving aqueous adhesive P.V.A. in water of 70 deg.C. Iron powders are removed from the all materials. The materials(1st,2nd,3rd) are mixed and stirred with the material(4th). The mixed materials are applied to the lower end of non-woven fabric or cotton based gauze of a sanitary napkin.
