PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatically connecting a cold rolled strip in strip annealing line is provided to improve quality and productivity of the cold rolled strip greatly by shortening working hours for connecting the strip and suppressing foreign materials generated on the surface of the strip. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a driving part (A) comprising a base(204), a control switch box(203), a plural position sensors(406-1,406-2,406-3,406-4) and an upper hydraulic press frame(202) installed on a frame(208) moved by wheels(201) installed on a lower part of the frame; a transfer part (B) comprising a base(301) installed on the base(204) of the driving part (A) and connected to a screw gear rotationally operated by motor(302), and a frame for clamp which is connected onto the base(301) in such a way that the frame for clamp is moved by motor(304) and screw gear, and at which clamp and width sensing sensor driven by cylinder(303) are installed; and a press part (C) comprising first to fourth press punches(401-1,401-2,401-3,401-4) installed on the frame of the driving part and driven by hydraulic cylinders(404) respectively to sequentially perform press forming and connecting operations on strips that are objects to be connected put on the base(204).
