PURPOSE: A capacitive load driving and recovery circuit, a capacitive load driving circuit, and a plasma display apparatus using the capacitive load driving circuit are provided to suppress massive increase in heat emission and a manufacturing cost in a high speed driving circuit from a display device. CONSTITUTION: A capacitive load driving recovery circuit includes a transformer(3), a first switch circuit, a second switch circuit, and a power switch circuit(2). The transformer includes a primary coil(31) connected between an output terminal connected to a capacitive load and a first reference potential, and a secondary coil(32) connected between the output terminal and a second reference potential. The first switch circuit is connected in series to the primary coil. The second switch circuit connected in series to the secondary coil. The power supply switch circuit is connected between the output terminal and a driving power supply.
