PURPOSE: An optically connectable circuit board, an optical component, and an optical guide structure are provided to allow for channel losses and eliminate the necessity of accurate mechanical match. CONSTITUTION: An optically connectable circuit board comprises a printed circuit card having a plurality of component attachment positions; and a plurality of electronic components mounted on the component attachment positions, respectively. At least one of the electronic components includes a plurality of optical transmitters/receivers(405). One of at least one of the electronic components is an optical connector to the printed circuit card.
