PURPOSE: A card connector is provided to detect mounting of a card in a predetermined position and prohibition of recording on the card without forming a metal plate. CONSTITUTION: A card connector includes a card inlet(10) into which the first and second cards are inserted and a plurality of terminals(11) that come into contact with connecting members formed on the backside of the first and second cards and are connected to an external signal system. The card connector further includes a slider(12) that pushes the first and second cards out of the connector in a discharging direction, and an elastic supporting member(13) for elastically supporting the slider in the discharging direction. The slider and elastic supporting member are formed at the right end of the card connector. An inclined part(20) is formed at the front part of the slider. Cut portions of the first and second cards are caught by the inclined part.
