PURPOSE: A method for managing file system of a real-time data file, and a recording medium and a real-time data storing device thereof are provided to prepare for a failure, such as power-off, generated while a data file is generated by receiving the real-time data on the real-time data storing device. CONSTITUTION: It is checked that a 'disk recording status' information element is 'record'(820). In case of 'record', it is checked that a 'stream recording status' information element for an RIF file is 'open'(830). In the case of 'open', the information for a start point of the real-time data file is obtained from a 'recording start pointer' information element(840). The chunk sequence information used for a recording mode is obtained(850). A 'chunk sequence' information element of the RIF file and a 'disk chunk use information'information element of a SYS file are fixed based on the chunk sequence information(860). An RAW directory is generated based on a 'record directory index' information element of the SYS file(870). The termination of a recovery operation is represented by fixing the 'disk recording status' information element of the SYS file as 'idle'(880).
