PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing the optical waveguide by using a laser direct printing technology and an optical wave guide by using the same are provided to easily improve the distribution of the optical waveguide refractive index by using an overlapped beam and to improve the bending loss of the curved optical waveguide. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing the optical waveguide by using a laser direct printing technology includes the steps of: coating the cladding material on the substrate; coating the photo-sensitive polymer on the cladding material as a core layer material; performing the direct printing process to form the optical waveguide by using the laser beam having an intensity in the form of Gaussian. The method of manufacturing the optical waveguide is characterized in that the optical waveguide is formed by overlapping at least two laser beams.
