PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing external air from flowing into reheating furnace during extraction of work is provided to prevent temperature drop in the furnace and variation of oxygen concentration by blocking inflow of an external cold air into the furnace when opening or closing output side door of walking beam type reheating furnace. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises an external air blocking force generating means for generating combustion gas having upward momentum larger than momentum possessed by the external air from the rear of work extracting passageways(52) inside the output side door to cut off air flown in from the outside when opening the output side door; and an electrical controller(14) for finely lifting or lowering pressure in the furnace by adjusting a furnace pressure controlling damper as controlling operation of the external air blocking force generating means by door opening signal and door closing signal generated from furnace combustion control system(20) during extraction of the work, wherein the external air blocking force generating means comprises burners(8,9) respectively equipped with fuel supplying nozzles(6,7) and combustion air injection ports(4,5) opened and closed by the electrical controller and installed at a lower part of left and right sides in rear of the work extracting passageways inside the output side door to discharge combustion gas toward the center of the reheating furnace; and radiant tubes(10,11) installed in rear of the work extracting passageways, formed in a certain capacity to contain the combustion gas by collecting combustion gas of the respective burners and arranged from the tip of an ignition part of the burners to central part of the reheating furnace.
