PURPOSE: A method for reinforcement and crack prevention of a clay-composite layer using synthetic fibers is provided to prevent a crack generating in the step curing the clay-composite layer by adding synthetic fibers in the clay-composite layer, to prevent a leakage in a landfill, to reinforce stiffness of the clay-composite layer and to reduce maintenance expenses. CONSTITUTION: The method for reinforcement and crack prevention of a mixed clay layer using synthetic fibers comprises the steps of cutting off synthetic fibers, then mixing with the clay-composite layer(100) used for forming the ground of a landfill and a final covering layer, and compressing/tamping using a vibration roller. The synthetic fibers(20) are mixed in the clay-composite layer(100) to prevent a crack(50) formed by drying using tensile force of the synthetic fibers and the mixed synthetic fibers(20) increase the binding strength between a tamped clay layer and the clay-composite layer.
