PURPOSE: A system and method for detecting a copied terminal in a CDMA2000 1xEV-DO(Evolution-Data Optimized) system are provided to detect a coped terminal by using subscriber session information and session information of a data location register. CONSTITUTION: A subscriber information management unit and a base station information management unit collect subscriber information and base station information(S101,S102) and trace location of an ANTS(Access Network Transceiver Subsystem) to which a mobile terminal has been connected(S103). A terminal moving speed checking unit calculates a moving speed of the mobile terminal based on each location information of the ANTS(S104). A copy detecting and call attempt preventing unit checks whether the moving speed of the mobile terminal is faster than a pre-set threshold value(S105). If the moving speed of the mobile terminal is greater than the threshold value, the copy detecting and call attempt preventing unit determines that the mobile terminal is copied(S106) and forcibly terminates a currently proceeding call(S107). A subscriber database of an AN-AAA(Access Network Authentication, Authorization, Accounting) activates an origination stop field to prevent re-attempt of a call of the copied terminal(S108).
