PURPOSE: A Zn-Ni alloy electroplating composition for improving surface appearance, adhesion and anti-chipping of plating layer during plating, a preparation method of Zn-Ni alloy electroplated steel sheet for improving surface appearance, adhesion and anti-chipping of plating layer, and a Zn-Ni alloy electroplated steel sheet prepared by the method having improved surface appearance, adhesion and anti-chipping are provided. CONSTITUTION: The chlorine based Zn-Ni alloy electroplating composition comprises 0.5 to 8.0 ml/L of additive comprising 50 to 200 g/L of sodium sulfonate, 50 to 100 g/L of thiourea, 10 to 60 g/L of solution in which ethyl alcohol is mixed with ortho-vanillin in a weight ratio of 1:0.01 to 0.08 and a balance of water and contains zinc ion concentration of 0.5 to 2.0 moles, nickel ion concentration of 0.1 to 0.5 mole and chlorine ion concentration of 6.0 to 9.0 moles. The preparation method of a Zn-Ni alloy electroplated steel sheet comprises the process of plating the chlorine based Zn-Ni alloy electroplating composition on a base steel sheet under the plating conditions that pH of plating solution is 2.5 to 4.5, temperature of the plating solution is 50 to 70 deg.C, current density is 40 to 200 A/dm¬2, and a relative flow rate of the plating solution and the cathode is 1.0 to 2.5 m/sec. The Zn-Ni alloy electroplated steel sheet is characterized in that it is prepared by the preparation method of the Zn-Ni alloy electroplated steel sheet.
