METHOD FOR DISTRIBUTING ROUTING ENTRY OF DISTRIBUTIVE ROUTER AND ROUTING TABLE STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: A method for distributing a routing entry of a distributive router and a routing table structure are provided to enable a routing processor to store necessary routing entry information only at a table without having routing entry information for all routers, thereby reducing a retrieval time and efficiently using a storage space. CONSTITUTION: If a packet enters the first routing processor through a physical connector(S11), the first routing processor retrieves a routing table. The first routing processor transmits a message that requests a routing entry corresponding to a destination address to all routing processors(S12), and receives routing entry information from a routing processor that has the routing entry information(S13). A switching portion switches the packet according to the received information, and forwards the packet to other physical connector through the routing processor having the routing entry information(S14). The first routing processor deletes currently received entry information from the routing table(S15).
