PURPOSE: A reflector and an LCD device are provided to form plural concave portions having optical reflexibility on the surface of a base while the concave portions are formed as the first and second curved surfaces, and to locate the utmost center of the concave portions within the first curved surface, thereby improving optical diffusion. CONSTITUTION: Plural concave portions(3) having optical reflexibility are formed on a surface(S) of a base. In each concave portion(3), the first curved surface(A1) located on one peripheral portion(S1) of the concave portions(3) and the second curved surface(B1) located on other peripheral portion(S2) are formed. An utmost center(D1) is located within the first curved surface(A1). A maximum value of an absolute value of an inclined angle for the base surface(S) of the second curved surface(B1) is bigger than a maximum value of an absolute value of an inclined angle for the base surface(S) of the first curved surface(A1).
