PURPOSE: Lactic acid bacteria which prevent and treat urinary tract infection and a beneficial product containing the same bacteria are provided, thereby significantly reducing infection of pathogenic bacteria and treats disease associated with urinary tract infection of pathogenic bacteria. CONSTITUTION: The lactic acid bacteria which prevent and/or treat urinary tract infection is provided, wherein lactic acid bacteria is Lactobacillus coprophilus PL 9001(KCCM-10245); Lactobacillus coprophilus PL 9001(KCCM-10245) is isolated from the urine of a patient; the lactic acid bacteria may be alive form, dried form, dead form or dried cultured medium form; and the pathogenic bacteria causing the urinary tract infection is Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans and Enterococcus faecium(VRE).
