MOBILE TERMINAL UNIT FOR AUTOMATICALLY MANAGING COUNTRY CODES AND METHOD FOR STORING AND SEARCHING PHONE NUMBER BY USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A mobile terminal unit for automatically managing country codes and a method for storing and searching a phone number by using the same are provided to automatically generate a country code in a mobile terminal when user moves to a foreign country. CONSTITUTION: When a user selects a phone number storage command and inputs a phone number to be stored(S110), a controller reads the phone number and checks whether the phone number includes a country code(S120). The controller determines whether to automatically generate a country code of a country where a mobile terminal is positioned(S130). If the inputted phone number does not include a country code, the controller automatically generates a country code(S150) and stores the automatically generated country code and the phone number inputted through an input unit in a phone number storing unit(S160).
