PURPOSE: A wafer based optical storage unit objective lens and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to realize an objective lens to be applied based on a wafer without mechanical redesign and setting for arrangement. CONSTITUTION: A hologram plate(50) has a hologram surface(51) passing a parallel beam entered from a light source, and compensating aberration of an optical system. An upper hemispheral lens(52) refracts the parallel beam according to radius of curvature. An upper wafer(54) is bonded with the hologram plate to support the upper hemispheral lens through a hole(53). A lower hemispheral lens(56) refracts the beam emitted from the upper hemispheral lens again for forming a focus on a disk surface(55). A lower wafer(58) is bonded in association with a lower end surface of the upper wafer to support the lower hemispheral lens through another hole(57).
