PBG COPLANAR WAVEGUIDE AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING POWER DIVIDER USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A PBG(Photonic Band Gap) coplanar waveguide and a method for fabricating a power divider using the same are used for enhancing the characteristic impedance by applying an improved PBG structure to a coplanar waveguide and changing width and positions of slots. CONSTITUTION: A transmission line ground region is formed on a substrate. A transmission line of predetermined width is formed at a predetermined position apart from the transmission line ground region. A plurality of rectangular holes(21) are symmetrically on the transmission line ground region. A plurality of slots(22) are formed at an opposite side to the rectangular holes. The number of the slots is equal to the number of the rectangular holes.
