PURPOSE: A manufacturing method and a device of high tenacity polyester grey yarn are characterized by using a directly spinning and drawing method(DSD), controlling structure change of the molecular inside, maximizing uniformity between mono-filaments through quenching uniformly, equalizing draw-point of undrawn yarn through heating in a moment and increasing productivity and quality. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of polyester grey yarn is as follows: extruding melted polymer through a spinning nozzle; passing the polymer through a hood heater(10) having 200-320deg.C and 100-300mm of section length and an insulating board(20) having 100-300mm of section length for 0.03-0.08sec; passing the polymer through a quenching screen(30) and a quenching chamber(40) to quench and to solidify; and then passing the polymer through a drawing part containing an oiling roller and many godet roller to draw in high drawing ratio. The manufacturing device thereof comprises the hood heater(10) and the insulating board(20) delaying and quenching the extruded polymer; the quenching screen(30); the quenching chamber(40); the oiling roller; the drawing part; a winder; and a perforated plate(50) which is installed on the quenching chamber(40), containing holes having 0.1-2.0mm of size. The holes of the perforated plate(50) is characterized by: having 2-20mm, 2-20mm and 1-10mm of distance between the holes; dividing the quenching screen(30) into 3-4 parts; having 0.5-2.0m/sec. of maximum wind velocity on a second or third part; occupying at least 50% of total area; and having 4-12% of opening ratio.
