PURPOSE: A system and a method for streaming white board contents to computing devices are provided to transmit an improved image of a white board, thereby realizing an efficient cooperation space among conference attendants physically separated. CONSTITUTION: Sequences of image frames of a white board are inputted(402). Each image frame is divided into cells(404). Positions of each cell before and after predetermined time are compared with each other to sense any change in illumination(406). If there is a remarkable change in illumination, white board matching processing operation is performed(408). If not, each cell of video frame is classified into background, white board foreground, and stroke cells(410). After performing stroke processing, only strokes on the white board are displayed without foreground objects(416,418). An image including the white board and the foreground objects is improved(412). It is judged whether a white board color model is to be updated(420). It is judged whether a new illumination condition corresponds to any one of white board color models(424). If not, new white board color models are initialized(426).
