LOW PASS FILTER USING NEW PBG STRUCTURE AND SUPERHIGH FREQUENCY AND MILLIMETER WAVE BAND PACKAGE INCLUDING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A low pass filter using a new PBG(Photonic Band Gap) structure and a superhigh frequency and millimeter wave band package including the same are provided to remove efficiently a broadband harmonic by improving an existing PBG structure. CONSTITUTION: A low pass filter includes a structure using a via and a metal sheet in order to form a serial resonance structure within a substrate. The metal sheet is connected to a signal line or a ground sheet through the via. The via is connected to the signal line and the ground sheet in order to induce the inductance. The metal sheet is parallel to the signal line and the ground sheet in order to induce the capacitance. The low pass filter is installed at a package feeder of a package in order to remove a broadband harmonic from the package.
