METHOD FOR PREPARING SILICA NANO POWDER BY FLAME SPRAY PYROLYSIS

PURPOSE: Provided is a method for preparing silica nano powders by flame spray pyrolysis which produces silica nano powders having an average particle size of not more than 100 nano meters from silicon alkoxide. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of dissolving an alcohol-based silicon organic compound in an organic solvent; and spraying a solution obtained in the first step into a flame reactor while introducing oxygen, hydrogen and air into the flame reactor at higher than 900 deg.C.
