PURPOSE: A system and method for storing an image shot by a mobile terminal are provided to store and keep an image shot by a mobile terminal without connecting the mobile terminal to a computer. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal photographs an object, converts it into an image file and temporarily stores it in a storing unit(S202). The mobile terminal transmits the stored image file to an image service server through a WAP gateway by using the wireless Internet(S204). The image service server stores the image file in an image DB(S206). The image service server finds out an e-mail address of a user of the mobile terminal by searching a client DB and transmits the image file to the e-mail address(S208). The user receives the image file or downloads it from his/her image DB and stores it in a client computer(S210).
