INTERNET VIDEOPHONE HAVING ELECTRONIC SETTLEMENT FUNCTION BY INTERFACING INTERNET VIDEOPHONE TO SMART CARD READER

PURPOSE: An Internet videophone having an electronic settlement function is provided to use diverse functions such as the electronic settlement and the smart card charge through the Internet by interfacing the Internet videophone to a smart card reader. CONSTITUTION: The Internet videophones(30a,30b) are connected to the Internet(16), and the Internet is connected to a bank server(20) or an electronic settlement server(18). As the Internet videophone has an interface port, the Internet videophone exchanges data by connecting to the smart card reader(40). If the user selects an online settlement menu of the smart card, the data needed for the online settlement is obtained by writing/reading the data from the smart card through the smart card reader.
