PURPOSE: A method for controlling the power of a base station according to a change of weather is provided to realize flexible and effective call connection by increasing or decreasing the output of a liner power amplifier step by step by comparing a humidity value with a threshold. CONSTITUTION: An BCPA(BTS Control Processor Assembly) requests a humidity value to store the current humidity value(ST11,ST12). If the humidity is lower than or equal to 80%, 80% of the maximum power is outputted(ST13,ST14). The BCPA reports the output to a BSM(Base Station Manager)(ST23). If the humidity is higher than 80%, it is judged whether the humidity is higher than or equal to 90%(ST15). If not, it is checked whether the humidity is higher than or equal to 85%, and lower than 90%(ST16). If the humidity is higher than or equal to 85%, and lower than 90%, 90% of the maximum power is outputted(ST17). If the humidity is lower than 85% and higher than 90%, it is checked whether the humidity is higher than or equal to 81%, and lower than 85%(ST18). If so, 85% of the maximum power is outputted(ST19). If the humidity is higher than or equal to 90%, the BCPA reports the result to the BSM(ST20). It is determined whether an over-power alarm is generated from a neighboring base station(ST21). If not, 100% of the maximum power is outputted(ST22).
