DIGITAL VERSATILE DISK(DVD) PLAYER CAPABLE OF REPRODUCING VIDEOS WITH HIGH RESOLUTION AND SIMULTANEOUSLY PROCESSING TWO SIGNALS

PURPOSE: A DVD(Digital Versatile Disk) player is provided to use an MPEG2 decoder for a DTV(Digital TV) use when decoding a DVD, and to use one MPEG2 decoder for a composite product of the DVD and the DTV. CONSTITUTION: An MPEG2 decoder(42) has a resolution up converter. The resolution up converter reads an MPEG2 TS(Transport Stream) outputted through a tuner/VSB(Vestigial Side Band) modulator(41) or a bit stream of a DVD(40) where video/voice signals are stored, decodes MPEG data, and converts the decoded MPEG data with high resolution to output the converted MPEG data. The tuner/VSB modulator(41) receives an RF signal from a DTV broadcasting signal, and controls/modulates the received RF signal.
