PURPOSE: A structure for preventing overflow in a connection part of a bridge constructed lower than the flood water stage is provided to manage the road around a river efficiently at a low cost, and to prevent the road from being submerged by shutting off overflow securely with the connection part of the bridge and by opening and closing the connection part simply. CONSTITUTION: A connection part of a bridge is placed to be lower than the water level of flood between an abutment(5) for placing an upper structure(4) and a road around a river. Overflow preventing walls(2) are installed around both sides of the connection part of the bridge, and a storage space(10) is formed longitudinally under the ground between the overflow preventing walls. Both guide groove parts(20) are opposed and formed vertically at both ends of the storage space and the ends of the overflow preventing walls. A cutoff gate(30) is lifted up and down along the guide groove parts by a driving unit(40), and protruded out of the storage space.
