VASODILATOR AGENT FOR PREVENTING AND TREATING VASCULAR DISEASE, CONTAINING DECURSIN OR DECURSINOL ANGELATE SEPARATED FROM ANGELICA GIGAS NAKAI AS EFFECTIVE INGREDIENT

PURPOSE: A vasodilator agent for the prevention and treatment of vascular disease containing, as an effective ingredient, a coumarin derivative such as decursin or decursinol angelate is provided. The coumarin derivative separated from Angelica gigas Nakai has vasodilating capacity. It can be used as a therapeutic agent for treatment of hypertension, arteriosclerosis, cerebral infarction, myocardial infarction, peripheral circulatory disturbance or ischemic brain disease. CONSTITUTION: The vasodilator agent for the prevention and treatment of vascular disease contains a coumarin derivative represented by the formula(1) and diluents or excipients. The coumarin derivative contains decursin represented by the formula(2) or decursinol angelate represented by the formula(3). In formula, R1 and R2 are each H or methyl. The diluents are selected from the group consisting of fillers, bulking agents, binding agents, swelling agents, disintegrating agents and surfactants.
