PURPOSE: A plug connector housing having a locking mechanism, and a plug connector having a locking mechanism using the same are provided to realize a compact plug connector and a compact receptacle connector while reducing force required for releasing the locking. CONSTITUTION: A plug connector housing(100) has a locking element inserted into a receptacle connector or pulled out from the receptacle connector having a cavity, a receiving plane, and a contact of the receptacle connector. A housing(110) has a main body(111), insertion parts(112) inserted into the cavity of the receptacle connector, and receiving parts(113) for receiving contacts of a plug connector. Flexible locking arms(120) are arranged at both sides of the housing, having protrusions formed at front ends. Operating arms(130) are arranged at both sides of the housing for transmitting force forwarding width directional inside to intermediate parts. If the insertion parts of the housing are inserted into the cavity of the receptacle connector, the protrusions of the locking arms are fixed by the receiving plane of the receptacle connector. If the front ends of the operating arms are pressed, the protrusions of the locking arms are separated from the receptacle connector.
