SYSTEM FOR MULTIMEDIA LANGUAGE PRACTICE USING IMAGE CAPTURE BOARD USING REALTIME VOICE/VIDEO TRANSMISSION

PURPOSE: A system for a multimedia language practice using an image capture board is provided to offer a multimedia language lab having an excellent function/performance and easily installed at much smaller expense by adding the minimal hardware to a present computer room. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a server computer(1) and many client computers(4). All computers are connected through the LAN(Local Area Network)(9). The devices(10) to play various kinds of A/V(Audio/Video) media are connected to the server computer and the client computers through an audio cable(7) and a video cable(8). The image capture boards(2,5) are respectively installed to the server computer and the client computers. The audio cable connects an audio out port of a media player with the sound cards(3,6) of the server/client computers through a line-in/out port. The video cable connects a video out port of the media player with the image capture cards of the server/client computers through a video-in port. A microphone and a headphone are connected to a microphone-in port and a line-out port of the server/client computers.
