PRODUCTION OF PLANT GROWTH REGULATOR USING CINNAMIC ACID HAVING EFFECTS OF BEING EFFECTIVE FOR STUNTING OR DWARFING PLANTS AND IMPROVING QUALITY OF HORTICULTURAL OR AGRICULTURAL CROPS WHILE HAVING EXCELLENT WORKING EFFICIENCY WITHOUT TOXICITY

PURPOSE: A method of making a plant growth regulator using cinnamic acid as an active component is provided. The product prevents useless growth of young plants such as seedlings or nursery plants, and potted plants(bunjae, bonsai), is effective for stunting or dwarfing a plant and improves the quality of horticultural or agricultural crops while having excellent working efficiency without toxicity. CONSTITUTION: The plant growth regulator comprises 25% or less by volume of cinnamic acid as an active component, wherein cinnamic acid is dissolved or dispersed in a water-based medium in high concentrations. The water-based medium is lignin sulfonate or carboxymethylcellulose. The plant is at least one seedling selected from the group consisting of poinsettia, geranium, Hydrangea macrophylla, chrysanthemum, Liriodendron tulipifera, Pharbitis nil and Petunia hybrida Hort. The plant growth regulator is applied to 100 parts by mass of soil in which the seedlings of the plant are transplanted in an amount of 0.0001 to 0.2 parts by weight.
