PURPOSE: Provided are a dielectric porcelain composition and a dielectric resonator using the composition, in which the relative permittivity (r) has been adjusted to a small value to a certain extent and the temperature coefficient (f) has been adjusted to the vicinity of zero, and a method for preparing the dielectric porcelain composition. CONSTITUTION: To adjust a relative permittivity, the dielectric porcelain composition comprises MgTiO3 and Mg2SiO4, and satisfies a+b=1 and b is more than 0 and less than 1, wherein a denotes a molar ratio of MgTiO3 and b denotes a molar ratio of Mg2SiO4. To adjust a temperature coefficient, the dielectric porcelain composition comprises MgTiO3 and CaTiO3, and satisfies a+c=1 and c is more than 0 and not more than 0.15, wherein a denotes a molar ratio of MgTiO3 and c denotes a molar ratio of CaTiO3.
