PURPOSE: A manual damper for a superconductor bearing is provided to transmit damping force without contact by using damping force of actuating fluid for cooling a superconductor, and to reduce deformation from hysteresis by minimizing the amplitude at the danger speed. CONSTITUTION: A permanent magnet(16) is attached around a rotating body(17), and the rotating body is surrounded by a housing bearing(12). A superconductor(11) is arranged opposite to the permanent magnet, and supported by a superconductor bearing. The superconductor is fixed to a damper journal(14) in the bearing housing for interaction with the rotating body, and an elastic member(15) such as a leaf spring is mounted between the bearing housing and the damper journal to reduce vibration in turning the rotating body.
