RECORDED PROGRAM EDITING METHOD IN PVR, PARTICULARLY IN RELATION TO SELECTIVELY RECORDING

PURPOSE: A recorded program editing method in a PVR(Personal Video Recorder) is provided to edit part of data recorded in a hard disc drive of the PVR and selectively record the part again. CONSTITUTION: Start and end points of an edited section are designated using an editing key of a remote controller to set at least one edited section while a program recorded in a storage medium is being reproduced. When a plurality of edited sections are set, a start point is newly designated in the first edited section and an end point is newly designated in the last edited section such that the section ranging from the newly designated start point to the newly designated end point is re-set as one edited section. When at least one edited section is set and completion of the currently reproduced program is selected, a user is inquired whether the edited contents are reflected. A recording operation selected by the user is carried out.
