PURPOSE: A disk drive system having a damping structure is provided to perform a sufficient buffering function even though a great impact is applied to a disk drive, while adopting another buffer structure for various directions, thereby protecting a medium inserted into the disk drive as well as the disk drive. CONSTITUTION: Springs(42,44) absorb right/left vibrations of a sled(34) while springs(46,48) absorb front/rear vibrations of the sled(34). One spot of the spring(42) is coupled with the sled(34) by a clamp(42a), and an opposite spot thereof is coupled with a tray(32) by a clamp(42b). One spot of the spring(44) is combined with the sled(34) by a clamp(44a) while an opposite spot thereof is coupled with the tray(32) by a clamp(44b). One point of the spring(46) is coupled with the sled(34) by a clamp(46a) while an opposite point thereof is combined with the tray(32) by a clamp(46b). One point of the spring(48) is coupled with the sled(34) by a clamp(48a) while an opposite point thereof is combined with the tray(32) by a clamp(48b).
