IMAGE INFORMING SERVICE METHOD IN ASYNCHRONOUS MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, CONCERNED WITH TRANSMITTING STILL IMAGE OR VIDEO TO ORIGINATION TERMINAL TOGETHER WITH SOUND COLOR RING PREVIOUSLY SET BY CALLEE IN ALERTING CALL

PURPOSE: An image informing service method in an asynchronous mobile communication system is provided to transmit a still image or video on a screen of an origination terminal together with a sound color ring previously set by a callee in alerting a call. CONSTITUTION: When an origination terminal(11) originates a call to a destination terminal(18)(601,602), an origination MSC(Mobile Switching Center) checks subscriber position information and whether a supplementary service is subscribed(603), recognizes that a callee is subscribed for an image informing service(604), sets up a 3G-324M call(605), and establishes a data channel for a 3G-324M picture phone call to the origination terminal(11)(606). An image informing service server(17) transfers pre-set image information to the origination terminal(11)(607). The origination terminal(11) decodes the received image information and outputs it on a screen(608). The origination MSC sets up the 3G-324M call with a destination MSC(609) and the destination MSC establishes a data channel for the 3G-324M picture phone call to the destination terminal(18)(610). When the picture phone session is terminated, the connection of the 3G-324M picture phone call is released(611).
