DETECTOR OF CD DATA PACKET, REALIZING STANDARDIZED HARDWARE CAPABLE OF CORRESPONDING TO PACKET FORMAT

PURPOSE: A detector of a CD data packet is provided to decide whether a sector is a user data area or a non-user data area, and to temporarily stop transmitting data of the corresponding sector to an IBB(Input Bit-stream Buffer) if the sector is the non-user data area, thereby increasing the efficiency for system resources. CONSTITUTION: When data transmitted from a CD is normal, a transfer judgment portion(26) distinguishes between a user data area and a non-user data area on the basis of result values of a block indicator detector(23) and a block address detector(24). If a corresponding sector is the non-user data area, the transfer judgment portion(26) temporarily stops transmitting data for the corresponding sector. If the transmitted data is damaged, the transfer judgment portion(26) distinguishes between a user data area and a non-user data area on the basis of a result value of a block sequence detector(25). If the sector is the non-user data area, the transmission of the data is temporarily stopped.
