PURPOSE: A solenoid valve for an anti-lock brake system is provided to increase the suction and discharge efficiencies of oil by improving an internal structure of the solenoid valve, to cut down the part-manufacturing cost by reducing the number of parts, and to secure an excellent assembling efficient. CONSTITUTION: A solenoid valve for an anti-lock brake system is composed of a valve seat(6) having a first valve seat unit(15) formed at the upper end and an oil passage(11) penetrating the inside in the longitudinal direction; a hollow valve seat housing(5) comprising a suction passage(13) formed on a sidewall, a first bore(17) for guiding the lift of the valve seat, a second bore(18) for forming a discharge passage(10), and a second valve seat unit(16) disposed at the connected part of the first and second bores; an armature(4) moving upward and downward by an electromagnetic field formed at a coil(1) and having a valve closing member(9) arranged at the lower end to open the first valve seat unit; an inward projection unit(19) disposed to the first bore of the valve seat housing and separated upward from the suction passage and the second valve seat unit at the predetermined distance; an outward projection unit(14) installed at the upper end of a valve body to face the inward projection unit; and a compression spring(12) interposed between the inward projection unit of the valve seat housing and the outward projection unit of the valve body. The inner diameter of the second bore forming the discharge passage is expanded 1.2 times as large as the suction passage.
