摘要

PURPOSE: A ceramic bracket for orthodontics and a process for manufacturing the same are provided to be used as a new dental bracket material in place of alloy or stainless metal materials while exhibiting an aesthetically good appearance without discoloration over time nor foreign body sensation. CONSTITUTION: The ceramic bracket for orthodontics comprises: an alloy consisting of 65 to 75 wt% of iron(Fe), 15 to 20 wt% of chrome(Cr), 5 to 10 wt% of nickel(Ni), 1 to 5 wt% of aluminum(Al), 0.1 to 1 wt% of silicon(Si), and 0.5 to 2 wt% of manganese(Mn); ceramic consisting of 91 to 96 wt% of alumina, 3 to 6 wt% of silica, 0.5 to 2 wt% of calcium carbide, and 0.1 to 1 wt% of magnesium oxide; and a binder.
