WATER QUALITY SENSOR OF WASHING MACHINE, WHICH IS CAPABLE OF MINIMIZING THE BREAKAGE OF A WATERPROOF MATERIAL AND TO PREVENT WRONG OPERATIONS OR LEAKAGE OF THE WATER

PURPOSE: A water quality sensor of a washing machine is provided to minimize the breakage of a waterproof material and to prevent wrong operations or leakage of the water. CONSTITUTION: A water quality sensor(50) of a washing machine is composed of a pair of conductivity sensor terminals(52,54) for detecting the conductivity of water; temperature sensor terminals(56) for detecting the temperature of the water; a housing(62) having a waterproof material-receiving groove unit(60); a cover combined to the housing; a plurality of supporting tools(64,66,68) projected in the waterproof material-receiving groove unit of the housing to surround each periphery of the conductivity and temperature sensor terminals; and a waterproof material filled in the waterproof material-receiving groove unit of the housing. The conductivity and temperature sensor terminals are fixed between the cover and the plural supporting tools, respectively. The supporting tools have grooves(72,74,76) formed at the ends and opened to the side.
