STRUCTURE OF STOPPER FOR SHOCK ABSORBER, WHICH IS CAPABLE OF FIXING A FREE PISTON VARYING THE OPERATION RANGE EASILY IN THE LOWER PART OF A COIL SPRING

PURPOSE: Structure of a stopper for a shock absorber is provided to improve nonlinear buffering in extending the piston rod and riding comfort by fixing a free piston varying the operation range easily in the lower part of a coil spring. CONSTITUTION: A shock absorber(100) is composed of a hollow outer tube(110); an inner tube(120) filled with oil and installed inside the outer tube; a piston rod(130) inserted to the inner tube and extended out of the outer tube; a rod guide assembly(140) installed in the upper part of the inner tube to support and guide the piston rod; and a stopper(150) mounted in the outer periphery of the piston rod to control extension of the upper part. A cylindrical coil spring(151) is installed between the stopper and the rod guide assembly, and a free piston(160) is fastened in the lower part of the coil spring. The free piston is moved up and down in compressing and restoring the coil spring, and composed of plural bypass orifices(164) vertically penetrated.
