HYDROGEL DRESSINGS CONTAINING PVP, POLYOL AND CARRAGEENAN FOR WOUND DRESSINGS OR PACKS AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: Provided are a hydrogel dressing for wound dressings or packs which has a gel strength and a flexibility usable as wound dressings and packs and is manufactured easily in a determined size and thickness, and a preparation method thereof. CONSTITUTION: The hydrogel dressing for wound dressings or packs comprises 5 to 40 wt.% of a composition of a polyvinyl pyrrolidone(PVP), a polyol and a carrageenan. The composition comprises 1 to 10 wt.% of the polyol, 0.1 to 10 wt.% of the carrageenan and the balance of the PVP. A number average molecular weight of the PVP is 200,000 to 1,300,000. The polyol includes one or a mixture of at least two selected from a group consisting of ethylene glycol, 1,3-butylene glycol, hexylene glycol, glycerin, polyethylene glycol, polypropylene glycol, sorbitol and mannitol.
