PORTABLE PHONE AND AN AUTOMATIC FOLDER ROTATING METHOD OF PORTABLE PHONE, CONCERNED WITH IMPROVING USER CONVENIENCE WITHOUT REDUCING SIZE OF THE LCD WINDOW

PURPOSE: A portable phone and an automatic folder rotating method of the portable phone are provided to locate an LCD window in a desired direction by automatically or manually rotating a folder, and to prevent a rotational unit from interfering with the LCD window of the folder. CONSTITUTION: A body(50) has a keypad and a rotative hinge(58). A folder(60) has an LCD(62) for displaying data transceived from the body(50). A driving source is installed in horizontal direction on a lower end of the folder(60), and generates a driving force. Dynamic force transmitters(MG,SG) are comprised, wherein one end thereof is connected to the driving source to be rotated by the driving force and other end is fixed to the folder(60) to transmit the driving force to the folder(60), so that the folder(60) can be rotated while being open. A rotation controller(89) is connected to the dynamic force transmitters(MG,SG), is built in a housing(H) vertically installed on the hinge(58), and enables an automatic/manual rotation of the folder(60).
