PURPOSE: A drainage method for civil engineering works making use of foaming resin is provided to prevent a collapse accident of a civil engineering structure and to improve constructability, economical efficiency, and safety. CONSTITUTION: In a drainage method for civil engineering works making use of foaming resin, a block product for drainage(2) made by forming foaming resin pellets(1) in a block shape of a lattice type, and a gunny bag product(3) for drainage made by filling a gunny bag with foaming resin pellets are selectively applied according to the construction conditions of a field or used for back fill of a civil engineering structure and for a stone filled drain dummy ditch together with a civil engineering fiber filter member(8). Reduction of earth pressure acting on the structure and drainage are promoted by making use of the lightness and permeability of foaming resin and safety of the structure is increased through the removal of water pressure by the lowering of underwater level.
