PURPOSE: A health food composition containing herbal material such as Puerariae Radix, Glycyrrhizae Radix, Rhizoma Dioscoreae, Fructus Hordei germinatus or the like is provided. It reduces hangover symptoms(stomachache, diarrhea, nausea, headache etc.) and enhances digestion. CONSTITUTION: The health food composition for reducing hangover contains 30 to 55% by weight of honey, 5 to 10% by weight of Puerariae Radix, 5 to 10% by weight of Glycyrrhizae Radix, 5 to 10% by weight of Rhizoma Dioscoreae, 5 to 10% by weight of Fructus Hordei germinatus, 5 to 10% by weight of Crataegi Fructus, 5 to 10% by weight of Semen Myristicae, 5 to 10% by weight of Atractylodis Rhizoma, 5 to 10% by weight of Poria cocos, 2 to 7% by weight of Cinnamomi Cortex, 2 to 7% by weight of Amomi Semen, 2 to 7% by weight of Zingiberis Rhizoma, 2 to 7% by weight of Piper nigrum and 2 to 6% by weight of Menthae Herba. The composition is formulated into a pill which is taken in an amount of one pill(3g) before or after drinking alcohol.
