TIRE SIDEWALL RUBBER COMPOSITION ADDED WITH SODIUM SALT OF SULFONATED MALEATED EPDM AND MONTMORILLONITE

PURPOSE: A tire sidewall rubber composition is provided, which improves mechanical properties, oxidation resistance, and discoloration resistance by adding a sodium salt of sulfonated maleated EPDM(Na-S-m-EPDM) and montmorillonite to a raw rubber. CONSTITUTION: The tire sidewall rubber composition contains 10-50pts.wt.(based on 100pts.wt. of the raw rubber containing a natural rubber and a butadiene rubber) of the Na-S-m-EPDM and 1.0-10pts.wt.(based on 100pts.wt. of the total of the natural rubber, the butadiene rubber, and the Na-S-m-EPDM) of the montmorillonite. The Na-S-m-EPDM contains 1.0-5% of diene and 0.1-1% of maleic anhydride.
