PURPOSE: A method of forming reactive barrier for purifying groundwater and a system thereof are provided to easily form the reactive barrier even in aquifer having deep depth by guiding flow of groundwater and properly form desired sized reactive barrier considering conditions of underground in which the reactive barrier is to be formed. CONSTITUTION: In a groundwater purification reactive barrier forming system for filtering contaminants discharged from an underground contamination source(20), the system comprises an injection well(30) installed to inject a reactive barrier forming material into underground aquifer from a position spaced apart from the underground contamination source in a certain distance; an extraction well(40) installed up to the aquifer(16) from a position spaced apart from the injection well in a certain distance; and a pump (P) installed in such a way that the pump controls discharge speed of groundwater of the aquifer through the extraction well to control settling rate and moving distance of the reactive barrier forming material in the colloid state injected through the injection well so that the reactive barrier forming material is reacted with underground media, wherein the injection well and the extraction well are formed in such a hollow shape that a lower part of the injection well and the extraction well is closed, and at least one or more of holes(31,41) are longitudinally formed on the injection well and the extraction well respectively.
