METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR OPERATING WEB MAIL SERVICE BY DIVIDING STORAGE INTO PERMANENT STORAGE AND TEMPORARY STORAGE

PURPOSE: A method and a system for operating a web mail service are provided to solve a problem that a mail capacity is exhausted and a mail account is disabled even if a client takes a separate action for spam mails by storing unnecessary web mails such as the spam mails in the temporary storage and automatically removing the unnecessary web mails depending on a predetermined rule. CONSTITUTION: A database server(130) includes a web mail classification information database(133) storing web mail classification information and removal information. A web mail server(110) includes a web mail transmitting/receiving module(111), a web mail classification module(113), a storage managing module(115), and a web mail removing module(117). In case that the web mail of a specified sender is requested to be stored in a permanent storage(153), the web mail classification module records sender information to the web mail classification information database as the classification information and the web mail received from the specified sender is stored in the permanent storage. Other web mail is stored to the temporary storage(151).
